About Amazing Structures
Amazing Structures came about because of a conjunction of two things.
Mapping some of the greatest structures mankind has ever created was something I've wanted to do for a long time. In the past, I have have appreciated the quality of lots of buildings, bridges, skyscrapers, stadiums and many other structures. But now you also get to appreciate them from above too. My fascination of looking out of aeroplane windows will never die.
Recently, I have learned a lot about Google Maps and after a play around project one week I decided that I should start mapping all those things I've always wanted to.
Since this is a dot info domain, I have decided to also let you download KML files from each section which maps each and every structure on this site. This let's you play with it either on Google Maps, Google Earth or anything that can use the now standard KML format. It also even let's you perform mash-ups on the data. If you do use it for that, a link back to this site would be appreciated but not necessary.
